Out of all the latest Nokia originals released Nokia 5710 Xpress Audio might be the most interesting for the masses since it is bringing you a nicely designed 4G capable feature phone and earbuds all together. However, the one I’m waiting to test and see is Nokia 8210 since I remember the original very well, here is Abdulla’s quick dive on Nokia 5710 Xpress Audio.
I must agree with Abdulla’s opening, the coolest thing about this s30+ Nokia featurephone is the addition of earbuds inside its body. The other cool aspect of this phone is an average 80 USD price tag which is going to be reachable for many.

If you are not a video type of person, here is what both Abdulla and I observed while checking this device.
Hardware
The whole device is made out of plastic with a mate finish which makes is easier to clean. The phone is coming in black/red colour combo but you can also find it in a classic white/red combination. Nokia 5710XM is a bit thicker phone than you’d expect (16.2mm), but with 129 grams, it doesn’t feel as particularly heavy. as you’d expect. My first impression when picking this up was wow, it’s a lot bigger than I imagined.
On the front of the device you’ll find a 2.4” display QVGA display which is surrounded by media control buttons on the right, and volume rocker keys on the left. The design is obviously pulled from old school Nokia Xpress Music devices (and a bit from Nokia 5310). The T9 keypad on the front is very good, but the keys are not as easy to use as those on for example Nokia 8210. However, the D pad is also excellent, large and easy to use, even when in ruch.
The phone is unfortunately still coming with micro USB which means you should save those old cables if you are planning on using it for years. The back of the device is where all the expressive fun is. The earbuds cover isn’t being used as a switch so don’t expect it to start an app when you reach for the buds.
Below the earbuds doors there is a 0.3 MP camera, dual loudspeaker and an LED torch. These buds should last for around 4 hours of audio playback on a single charge but as they are constantly charged inside the phone, that should be enough.
Battery
The battery has a capacity of 1450 mAh battery which should keep the Nokia 5710 for 20 days on standby while using dual SIMs inside. However, while using it heavily you should be able to do 7 hours of talk time on a single charge.
Software
Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is using standard Nokia S30+ with some tinny changes, for example, a new music player and wireless radio. experience. You’ve got a homescreen that displays your notifications, and shortcut keys can be fully customized to your liking. The menu is a typical 3 by 3 grid of icons, or you can make it look like a list with a large single icon per screen. I hoped to see Deezer or Spotify app being prepared for s30+ but unfortunately, that isn’t the case. Hopefully Nokia Mobile could work with those music streaming companies to do something about that and then the Xpress(Music) Audio brand will fully shine.
For me, this device would be perfect if WiFi, USBc and maybe apps like Deezer, Spotify and Whatsapp were included. Then it could be the ideal device for taking a break from smartphones that bombard us daily with a bunch of notifications, or when we just wan’t to do an occasional break from micro conversations and display interactions.
