The existence of the Nokia Apollo smartphone has been known for some time, and the phone will most likely be announced at IFA 2022 along with Agent, Falcon and Vision. This is now confirmed by the FCC certificate of the Nokia TA -1481 smartphone, which is internally called Apollo.

The device will be released in dual SIM (TA -1479 and TA -1481) and single SIM (TA -1490 and TA -1475) versions and is expected to be available worldwide. The FCC documents also revealed the rear design with a new rectangular camera hump that includes three camera sensors and a dual LED flash that matches the design of Nokia’s recently launched G and C series phones. The earlier leak confirmed that Apollo could be a 5G-capable Nokia G60, although French carrier Free has filed it under Nokia G80 on its list of phones compatibilité with VoLTE/VoWiFi service.

G60 seems like a good naming scheme, as Apollo will most likely be the successor to the Nokia G50, but there is a possibility that Apollo is a higher-end G-series phone, and then the name G80 will fit better. The larger main camera sensor aperture suggests that the Apollo will have the same or better camera than the G21, but a smaller 4800 mAh battery, which could indicate that a more energy-efficient processor will be used for this device, rather than the Unisoc, which can’t offer experience as good as Qualcomm 48X series processors.

Do check out the FCC documents if you are willing to dig some more info about Apollo.

Cheers Eero for the tip 😉
