Nokia N91 – Nokia’s flagship with hard drive – Nokiamob

Nokia N91 was Nokia’s flagship model launched in Q2 2005. This phone was a technological wonder since it came with a proper 8GB hard drive. This hardware might be funny to you now, but back in 2005, it was unimaginable to have an 8GB hard drive installed and running inside a smartphone.

This phone was a capable smartphone since it came with Symbian 9.1, Series 60 UI 3rd Edition. If you ever wondered what this piece of hardware looked like, check out this short video I stumbled upon on 9GAG. Watch the video in full screen.

You can also check a disassembly on Nokia N91 that also shows the whole device and its internal assembly. The video also shows a full disassembly of its 4GB HD that was made by Toshiba.

I miss those days when Nokia had enormous investments in R&D that could enable the company to create wonderful devices like N91 and some others. However, later we witnessed that a lot of money doesn’t necessarily result in great smartphones since there once was Nokia N97 :).
